What’s up everybody!

So if you’re a coffee lover like myself, there’s a new place in town that you HAVE to check out and  get your coffee fix in the best possible way! Črno Zrno is located on Gornji trg in the center of Ljubljana and as you can see it’s a bit different then the coffee shops we’re used to around here. First of all, it’s not your regular cafe with tables and chairs, it’s actually meant more as a “showroom” where you experience their coffee and realize that you love it so much that you need to get a bag for your home as well, but don’t get me wrong that doesn’t mean that it can’t be your regular coffee stop, it’s still a coffeeshop in it’s core. And that brings us to the second thing I need to highlight and that is that the whole point of Črno Zrno is the single-origin coffee, that means that they only serve and sell high quality Colombian coffee, where every bean’s origin can be traced back to the caffee farm that grew it. After the beans are transported to Slovenia they are roasted at the STOW coffee shop in Ljubljana where they make sure that the roasting process brings out the best of the given sort of coffee beans. And after all the effort that’s put into the Črno Zrno blends, it all more than pays off when you take a sip and experience the flavor.

Now the guy behind Črno Zrno is Alexander – a Colombia-born architect, now focused on bringing you the best coffee his homeland has to offer, for your drinking pleasure. I’ve stopped by the coffeeshop last friday to have a little chat and a cup of coffee, and that turned into a few hours long conversation and coffee tasting, where I got the chance to really see just how passionate Alexander is about his coffee and how much knowledge there is backing it up. All-in-all Črno Zrno gets a biiiiiig thumbs up from Sine Metu and if you even remotely like drinking coffee, their place is a MUST for you to visit. Trust me, you’ll thank me later!
